Job Title:  Project Manager, New Business Development

Location:  Bangkok, Thailand

Key responsibilities of the post:

§  Working with external OEM’s and suppliers at director level and internal senior management on the identification, qualification and development of new business relationships and opportunities. 

§  Generate and negotiate new income for GFS and interact with (regional) support people, including Management, Sales, Logistics and Operations, in setting up and executing new business.

§  Accountable for client proposals, contracts, tenders, requests for information and any further documentation in a timely manner.

§  Project management – responsible for the overall success of GFS projects.  Identifying, tracking managing & resolving project related issues, proactively communicating project information to all stakeholders, managing and mitigating project risk.  Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed is delivered and ensuring that the solution is of acceptable quality and completed on time and within budget.

§  Keeping abreast of issues affecting GFS’s business and the automotive industry.  Collecting competitor intelligence; competition's offerings, strategies and plans.

§  Support GFS management by: creating/revising business plans, shaping company strategy and strategic planning.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least 5 years experience of working in a project management or business development role.  Experience in the automotive industry is an added benefit.
• Effective project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload.  
• Experienced negotiator (both in terms of handling internal and external parties).
• Strong customer-service focus with an affinity with the automotive sector.
• Good analytical skills.  Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and explore and evaluate them systematically. 
• Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all business opportunities to GFS are captured and explored.
• Attention to detail with the ability to also maintain a strategic perspective.
• The ability to work in bid teams to prepare and write formal customer proposals and tenders.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Dynamic and energetic personality with a drive for results.
• Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written in English.  Able to get one’s message understood by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience.
