Key
responsibilities of the post:
-
Based in
Nairobi, Kenya, reporting to Regional Sales Manager based in Bangkok,
Thailand
-
Responsible
for establishment of GFS as a strong sales presence in East Africa
-
To drive and
support all sales and new business development activity in the sales area
-
To ensure GFS
in the primary choice for modified vehicles throughout the area
-
Represent the
company in a professional and efficient manner
-
Coordinate
dealer and agent activity in East Africa
-
Develop sales
initiatives in East Africa
-
Implement
sales programmers advised by Head Office
-
Identify and
secure new business
-
To introduce
and develop relationship with ford dealers and independent dealers in East
Africa including with procurement personnel
-
To design,
implement and evaluate marketing plans with dealers and support company
sales objectives
-
Analyze sales
statistics to help formulate sales policy and marketing plans
-
Identify
market potential and contribute to the development of products to meet the
potential.
-
Liaise with
Head Office technical personnel to assist with sales/ technical visits to
major fleet users in sectors such as mining police, etc.
Ideal candidates
will possess:
-
Ideally a
bachelor’s or higher degree in business studies, marketing or a related
commercial field. Alternatively, a strong career history of relevant
experience coupled with quantifiable success is required.

Strong
business management skills
-
Minimum of 3
years experience of running a sales remote from line management
-
Minimum of 7
years experience of sales and marketing with a minimum of 4 years at
management level.
-
3 years
minimum experience in developing new business
-
A network of
contracts within sectors operating large vehicle fleets would be advantage
-
Organized and
methodical approach to problem solving.
